Transit visa
A transit visa is issued to persons in transit through Russia. It may be single or double and is issued for up to 10 days one way (depending on the mode of transport);
A transit visa is not required if you make a transfer within 24 hours without leaving the transit zone of the airport and have a visa (if required) and tickets to the country of destination.
In order to obtain a visa, the following documents must be presented:
Passport with a valid visa to enter the destination country via Russia (if such a visa is required) and valid tickets with confirmed dates of entry and exit from Russia or
in case of travel by car, motorbike:
a photocopy of the car or motorbike registration certificate
photocopy of driving licence
application for issuance of transit visa indicating: passport data (name and surname, date of birth, passport no., date of expiry of the passport, place of residence, citizenship, sex), car registration no., body colour, detailed information on the route of travel (counting 500 km per day).
Visa application filled in electronically in Russian or English and printed out using the website of the Consular Department of the Russian MFA: visa.kdmid.ru.

Health insurance with coverage of not less than €30,000 valid in the Russian Federation for the period of transit through Russia.
